Reset your Microsoft 365 "work" account password
Work accounts in Microsoft 365 are managed by your organization. They are subject to several security and configuration policies, including requirements and restrictions on self-service password resets.
To reset a forgotten password for a work account (sometimes referred to as a "work or school account" by Microsoft):
- Visit https://mysignins.microsoft.com
- When presented with a sign-on screen, click the "Can't access your account?" link
- Enter your work email address/username. You will be asked to show you aren't a robot by completing a challenge. Enter the characters shown on the screen.
- Select Next
- Select one of the approved methods to verify your identity. Change your password and add any additional information requested.
